AILA
The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)is a voluntary membership association for lawyers and law professionals (e.g., paralegals) interested in practicing immigration law. AILA provides information and literature, along with regular meetings and courses designed to address current and emerging issues in immigration law and immigration practice. Although membership is not required in order to practice immigration law, it is strongly encouraged. All attorney members are required to be in good standing and be eligible to practice Immigration Law in front of the USCIS and BIA. As of 2007, AILA had over 10,000 members.
